WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Calling all Ontario-based artists, bands, and musicians – this is your time to shine! If you've got a musical act that's ready to captivate audiences and make hearts beat to your rhythm, we want to hear from you. We accept artists from all genres!
We're seeking fresh voices, bold sounds, and unforgettable performances. Whether you're an emerging talent or a seasoned pro, VENUExVENUE is your stage to connect with a diverse, music-loving audience. Be part of an incredible lineup that showcases the best of Ontario's music scene.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Application Deadline: FREE until Thursday, January 18, 2024.
That's right, applications are absolutely FREE during this period, so seize this opportunity! - Application Fee: After January 18, 2024
a nominal application fee of $20 CAD will apply. So, apply early to save! - Application Closure: Please note that applications will close on Friday, April 26, 2024. Don't miss this deadline to be part of a musical extravaganza that will leave a lasting impression.
- All Ages Shows: While we welcome artists from all ages, please note that some of our shows are all-ages, and space for underage artists is limited.
- Industry Exposure: We bring in venue and festival bookers from Ontario and beyond to watch artists for possible bookings at their events. Your talent could lead to exciting opportunities!
- Compensation: Selected artists will receive a nominal performance fee. Travel costs are not covered.
- Performance Access: Selected artists will get a minimum of one performance slot, and each member will receive full access wristbands, allowing entry to all showcases and our music industry conference.
PERFORMING ARTISTS RECEIVE:
- Performance: 1 performance at VENUExVENUE
- Wristbands: each band member receives VENUExVENUE wristband
allows entry to all performances limited to venue capacity - Artist Pass: each band member receives an artist pass
allows entry to indie101 conference limited to venue capacity - Ticket to INDIE WEEK ONLINE: tickets for each band member to INDIE WEEK music conference 2024 (online)
- Mixer: Invite to VENUExVENUE mixer (date venue tbd)
ALL APPLICANTS (INCLUDING NON-SELECTED ARTISTS)
WILL RECEIVE:
- FREE DIT Community Membership: All applicants will receive a FREE membership to the DIT (Do It Together) community, a hub for music industry professionals, artists, and enthusiasts.
- Discounted Wristbands and Passes: As an applicant, you'll have access to exclusive discounts on festival wristbands and conference passes.
- Music Industry Conference: Participate in and attend our music industry conference, which includes demo listening sessions, mentoring opportunities, industry mixers, industry panels, and more. Elevate your music career with valuable industry insights and connections.
