Jeff Rogers

Jeff Rogers has been in the entertainment business since he was 16 years old. He began as a rock concert promoter in Welland, Ontario. He later became a rock band manager and helped steer the careers of Crash Test Dummies, The Pursuit of Happiness, Rusty, Randy Bachman, Ashley MacIssac and others. He also is the owner of Handsome Boy Records which has had success with Rusty and the Plunderphonics album – Grayfolded. During this time Jeff was involved in three film projects. As an executive producer on Bruce LaBruce’s Hustler White (1996) and a Crash Test Dummies movie directed by Kris Lefcoe. The third was as a director on _Moe Berg: Song and Dance Man (1999)_. In January of 2000 Jeff took a job working for Richard Branson’s V2 label in New York. He became Head of Artist Development and worked with artists such as The Black Crowes, Underworld, Rinocerose, Stereophonics and Moby. While working there Jeff produced the highly praised Moby: Play – The DVD (2001) for which he received his first Grammy nomination. Jeff moved back to Toronto in 2003. He produced several movies and became the booker for the newly minted Drake Hotel. He worked closely with Kevin Lyman on Warcon Records, releasing the Warped Tour Compilation Album (Gold in Canada) Jeff became the live music consultant for the Paradise Theatre in early 2019. The theatre opened in December 2019 and currently sits dormant due to the pandemic. Jeff manages Moscow Apartment (Slaight Music/Hidden Pony) and consults Abigail Lapell (10 million plays on Spotify).
