About Youth Jam Toronto
It all started with a conversation between youth musicians Celia and Annie Siriopoulos of the group CAArdia and Ariyena Sorani who is lead vocalist of the band Blue Opaline. The need for Youth Musicians to have a platform to play. During Canadian Music Week, they came across a presentation by Toronto Mayor John Tory – encouraging Musicians to take advantage of the many parks in Toronto and play music.

During Canadian Music Week, they came across a presentation by Toronto Mayor John Tory – encouraging Musicians to take advantage of the many parks in Toronto and play music.
The first place that came to mind – Christie Pits Park. A place they love to hang out in and a place they love to watch other musicians perform in. The idea is to bring together the many talented youth musicians they have met along the way, and to encourage other musicians from around the city to come out and JAM together.
That is what Youth Jam 2018 is all about. A grassroots way of encouraging other musicians to get together for a day of music.
