Jacqui Verellen is a pop singer/songwriter, originally from Chatham, Ontario.
Previously winning the National CMTC competition, Jacqueline first went on to record an original, “Home is Home,” in Nashville with Grammy nominated producer and writer, Jeff Pardo. It received an overwhelming response, being played on Canadian stations and placing top 15 in the International Songwriting Competition.
Since then, Jacqueline has been recording an anticipated work of songs, titled, “Honest.” A self-written body of work, her EP will be released February 2019, and will take her listeners on a journey through love, loss, joy, pain and finally, spiritual awakening. Known for her gentle vocals and her soul-stirring lyrics, Jacqui’s newest release will leave your heart warmed and your mind at ease. Influenced by storytellers such as Joni Mitchell, Colouring, Ingrid Michaelson, Sleeping at Last and Taylor Swift – Jacqui’s sound is a blend of warm instrumentals, honest lyricism and cool, electronic vibes. Jacqueline’s most recent release was a collaboration with band “Farewell Summer,” called “Mess this Up.” The song was added to many Spotify Canada playlists, gathering over 30,000 plays over a months time. With full band, Jacqueline most recently played “Flavours of our World Festival,” “Western Fair Festival,” and at the “Mod Club in Toronto.” Jacqueline can also be found touring again this coming spring, 2019.
